ABRE wants to invite you for a vibrant celebration of Brazilian Independence Day in the park, bringing together music, culture, volleyball & soccer, and family fun in an open and welcoming community atmosphere.
The event will feature Brazilian music, creating the perfect soundtrack for an afternoon of celebration. Families and children can enjoy a variety of fun kids’ activities with Arawe. We will also have capoeira demonstration with a Brazilian teacher.
There will be Brazilian hot dogs, pop, chips and non-alcoholic drinks and other treats available for purchasing but feel free to bring whatever you want. The site allows alcohol consumptions as well but sale is not permit on site, so bring your own alcoholic drink if you want to consume it. You can bring your own food to share or if any allergy/ food intolerance applies to you ( no vegetarian or gluten free food will be available for purchasing).
For those who love to dance, we’ll also have Pagode Baiano classes, introducing participants to the lively rhythms, choreography, and joyful spirit of Bahia.
Whether you come to dance, learn, play, listen to music, or simply enjoy the community atmosphere, this celebration is an opportunity to experience and celebrate diversity of Brazilian culture.
